Consultancy work:
Strategy//Cultural intervention//Diversifying narratives
My creative practice has shown me the importance of both interrogating and evolving narratives to reflect the uncertain times we’re in. I work as a creative consultant with a number of different grassroot movements, funders, organisations and creative practitioners to help them understand a number of ways to diversify and understand their strategy and key messaging around climate and social justice work.
My work stream, though not limited to, falls into three main categories;
Strategy around climate and social justice work
Working with organisations to critically understand the underlying issues around climate and social justice issues. Particularly if you and your organisation are new to thinking about climate change work, what does climate justice actually mean? And how can we meaningfully engage in these terms in our work?
Guidance on how to develop key climate justice narratives and messages in line with overall organisational objectives
Strategy for how these narratives translate into action.
Educational work
Advisory work for new and existing educational programmes, including project design and evaluation
Guest lecturing at universities – (including performance lectures)
Cultural intervention
Working with writers, artists, film and theatre makers about how to incorporate social and climate justice issues into their work – how do artists tackle the big social issues in ways that feel human and relatable?
